Tanda Hire Explained

Learn about Tanda's recruiting tool and how you can streamline the onboarding process in your business.

Updated this week

You can now manage your business's recruitment process through Tanda Hire, our built-in hiring and applicant tracking system.

This feature is built directly into your Tanda account and allows you to post job ads, review applicants, and send onboarding invitations to successful candidates.

This help guide will explain how to enable Tanda Hire and get started using the feature.

Please note: This feature is only available for users on the Tanda HR plan.

How it Works

Built directly into your Tanda account, Tanda Hire simplifies the process of hiring, onboarding, and rostering staff into a single system.

To get started, simply follow this process:

1️⃣ Start by designing your job ad (just click + New Job Ad), including the title, location, and rate of pay.

2️⃣ Post the job ad to your public job board via Tanda. You can also print out a QR code to display in your business.

3️⃣ Candidates can attach their resumes, answer any screening questions, and leave comments when applying.

4️⃣ Review the candidates and send the successful ones an onboarding invitation.

You'll retain a list of all applicants for any role vacancies in the future.

Accessing Tanda Hire

Once you've enabled the Tanda HR add-on in your account, you can access Tanda Hire via the Hire tab.

By default, only Admins in your account can access the Hire feature.

You can manage these permissions by navigating to Settings > All Settings > Permissions > Show Advanced Settings > Customise access & roles here. Toggle settings under the Hire section to enable additional permissions.

To learn more about customising permission settings, see our help guide.

Getting Started

Once enabled in your account, you can start by configuring your Tanda Hire settings (navigate to Hire > Settings).

To begin with, you will be prompted to enter your Company name, Company Logo (optional, noting that, if added, this will appear on job listings), and Company Description (optional, noting that, if added, this will appear on the expression of interest form).

Next, you will be asked to configure your default questions. Candidates will be prompted to answer these questions when they lodge an expression of interest. You can customise these questions again for each job application. Default questions can be configured to have either Free Text, Yes or No, or Video responses.

Please note: these videos won't work with our SEEK integration.

To add a new default question, use the + ADD QUESTION button. To delete a question, use the red trash can icon.

Finally, configure your Application Form Fields using the tick boxes. These are the default fields we will ask candidates for when they apply for a job or lodge an expression of interest. You can turn off fields you don't want to ask for. By default, we'll always ask for an applicant's Name, Email Address, and Resume.

Ensure you click UPDATE at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

From this view, you can also configure your settings for Email Notifications, Stages, and Integrations.

📝 Important to note: The information configured on your Hire Settings page will be publicly accessible to candidates. Ensure only relevant public-facing content is included.

Now that we've enabled Tanda Hire and configured your general settings, we'll discuss how to create and post a job ad in the next article in this series.
