This guide explains how to set up and use the Shopify POS integration. Once connected, Tanda automatically imports your sales and unit data so you can roster staff based on real customer demand.
Connect Shopify to Tanda
1. To integrate your Shopify account with Tanda, navigate to Settings > Integrations > POS System Integrations > + New POS Integrations.
2. Next, search for and select the Shopify tile:
3. Click the Connect to Shopify button:
4. You will need to give the integration a name and enter your Shopify store URL (for example, mystore.myshopify.com):
5. Click Connect
6. You will be redirected to log in to Shopify
7. After logging in, click the Install button underneath the Tanda POS Integration app:
8. After successfully completing the integration, you will see it appear on the POS Integrations page:
Configure Sales & Connect Data Streams
After connecting the Shopify integration, you can choose whether to include tax and tips in the sales data.
Configure this under Integrations > POS Integrations > Shopify > Edit Integration:
You can also rename the integration and resync sales data from the last 30 days on this page.
You can see your sales being imported under Integrations > Manage Data Streams > Data Streams.
The integration will pull transactions and sales by the Locations set up in Shopify. You should see these created within 5 minutes of connecting the integration, with data continuously imported in 15-minute intervals thereafter.
From here, you can link them to specific locations and teams to be used elsewhere in the system. See this guide for more on configuring this.
Using Shopify Sales Data in Tanda
Sales data is available across Tanda and can be used to analyse performance and inform staffing and budget decisions. These areas include:
Live Insights: View a breakdown of predicted vs actual sales and rostered vs actual staff counts for each day directly in the Dashboard.
Recommended Staff: Streamline rostering by using sales forecasts to recommend staff numbers in the roster based on expected demand.
Labour Budgets: Use integrated sales data to help compare budgeted amounts against predicted revenue, helping you better configure cost budgets and plan rosters accordingly.
Roster Statistics: Customise what data you see in the roster to view predicted sales and statistics like Wage % Revenue or SPLH.
Cost Reports: View actual and predicted revenue in cost reports to analyse performance, monitor labour costs against revenue and identify variances against sales forecasts.
