Connect SmartRetail to Tanda
To integrate SmartRetail to Tanda, you will need to provide your SmartRetail URL, API key, Username and Password. Contact Worldsmart if you are unsure of any of these details.
Additionally, SmartRetail systems are often hosted locally, where access is restricted to approved IP addresses only. In these cases, Tanda’s whitelisted IP addresses will need to be added to the approved list to allow the connection. If your system is hosted locally, please contact the Tanda support team at support@tanda.co or via live chat to retrieve these IP addresses.
Once you have all the necessary information, follow the steps below to set up the integration in Tanda:
Navigate to the Settings Icon > Integrations > POS Integrations.
Click + New POS Integration in the top right.
Search for Smart Retail or find it in the list of integrations:
Hover over this icon and click See Details > Connect to Smart Retail.
Then, fill out the necessary details to configure the integration:
Note that the Deployment URL should start with 'http'. For example, 'http://10.10.10.100'.
Additionally, you can choose to Include tax when importing sales data by ticking the checkbox.
Important: Ensure that you have the latest version of Worldsmart to allow Tanda to retrieve sales per quarter-hour.
Configure the Integration & Connect your data streams
This integration will pull transactions and sales by department, based on how they have been set up in SmartRetail.
Once the integration has been set up successfully, you should see these come through under Manage Data Streams > Data Streams:
From here, you can link them to specific locations and teams to be used elsewhere in the system. See this guide for more on configuring this.
Using SmartRetail sales data in Tanda
Sales data is available across Tanda and can be used to analyse performance and inform staffing and budget decisions. These areas include:
Live Insights: View a breakdown of predicted vs actual sales and rostered vs actual staff counts for each day directly in the Dashboard.
Recommended Staff: Streamline rostering by using sales forecasts to recommend staff numbers in the roster based on expected demand.
Labour Budgets: Use integrated sales data to help compare budgeted amounts against predicted revenue, helping you better configure cost budgets and plan rosters accordingly.
Roster Statistics: Customise what data you see in the roster to view predicted sales and statistics like Wage % Revenue or SPLH.
Cost Reports: View actual and predicted revenue in cost reports to analyse performance, monitor labour costs against revenue and identify variances against sales forecasts.
