EM Cloud POS (GAP Solutions) Integration

How to connect your EM Cloud Account to Tanda.

Updated this week

Connect your EMC sales data to Tanda to build better rosters and control labour costs.

Once connected, EM Cloud will send your sales data to Tanda automatically. Tanda uses this data to forecast demand so you can roster the right number of staff at the right time.

What this integration does

GAP Solutions exports your sales data from EM Cloud (EMC) into a CSV file and delivers it to an SFTP server. Tanda then collects that file on a schedule and turns it into a data stream you can use in rosters, dashboards, and reports.

EMC sends data to Tanda Hourly.

Before you start

You need:

  • Administrator access in Tanda

  • Permission to manage settings for your organisation

You will also need SFTP details from GAP Solutions, including:

  • SFTP host (server address)

  • Port

  • Username

  • Password or SSH key

  • Folder path where the file will be placed

  • Exact file name

Setting up the integration

  • Step 1: Request the connection from GAP Solutions

First, contact the team at GAP solutions to request a connection to Tanda. The GAP team will help configure SFTP Credentials for the integration with Tanda.

  • Step 2: Add your SFTP Details to Tanda

In Tanda, navigate to Settings > Integrations > POS Integrations > New POS Integration > SFTP.

After clicking 'connect to SFTP', enter the required fields as mentioned above.

  • Step 3: Link data to your rosters

You're now connected! The final step is to link your sales data to your roster.

Data will be split by department and store (e.g. Brisbane City - Dairy). You need to link these data streams to the correct locations and teams.

To link the data to your roster, navigate to Settings > Integrations > Manage Data Streams.

Select a data stream and click the dropdown to the right of 'create new join'.

Select the store location, as well as the team you'd like to link it to (e.g. Dairy Assistant).

    Set your rostering ratio:

For the linked team/s, enter a rostering ratio.

For example in the above: 230 = 1 person for every $230

Smarter scheduling

Using your sales data, Tanda looks at your past demand to predict how busy future shifts will be.

Tanda then:

  • Suggests how many staff you need at different times of the day

  • Highlights where you may be over or under staffed

  • Helps reduce unnecessary wage spend

When working on a roster, switch to Day View to roster against demand. You can view demand in two ways: Table View or Graph View.

Table View

Table View shows demand as a heat map.

  • Each cell represents a time block

  • Numbers show the recommended number of staff

  • 🔴 Red highlights mean you are under rostered

  • 🔵 Blue highlights mean you are over rostered

This view is best for quickly spotting problem areas and adjusting shifts.

Graph View

Graph View shows demand visually across the day.

  • Bars represent forecasted and actual demand

  • The lines represent how many staff are rostered and suggested to work.

  • Peaks show busy periods

  • Troughs show quieter periods

This view helps you understand how staffing lines up with demand over the full day.
