Why are my jobs not posted on Indeed?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Tanda makes your jobs available to Indeed within 2 hours of being published.

Indeed's team then conducts a short review to ensure that jobs meet their guidelines and ultimately determine what is eligible to be advertised on their site. Indeed reads our feed every 72 hours.

Tanda does not have a final say on whether your jobs will end up on Indeed; Indeed has full control of what jobs are eligible for visibility on their platform.

📝 Note: if you cannot see your job posting on Indeed, you can check your Indeed Company Page to see if the job is listed. If there are no jobs populating on the Indeed Company Page, you should contact Indeed Client Success.

Indeed has in-depth guidelines on their support page. We recommend reviewing these to ensure that your jobs meet their posting standards, as these might change over time: Indeed Job Posting Standards.

If your jobs are not visible on Indeed’s feed, we also recommend that you read their support article explaining why your jobs may not have been posted to Indeed: My job is not shown on Indeed.

If your job is not published on Indeed after 72 hours, check that your job post doesn't break any of their following guidelines:

  • Your company was determined to be a recruiting or staffing company, which isn't eligible for free (organic) postings. Staffing-based companies must sponsor their jobs to be eligible for visibility on Indeed.

  • You are already posting on Indeed directly. Due to Indeed's "one-source" policy, they will not accept a job post from Tanda if your company has previously posted on Indeed directly without using Tanda. You need to contact their team and ask them to make Tanda your primary posting source on their platform.

  • Your job is missing a full location. Most of the free job boards, including Indeed, require a full location to publish your jobs.

  • Your account is marked as "Sponsored only" on Indeed. Occasionally, Indeed will move you to an account where you can only post sponsored jobs, meaning that any free job posting sent from Tanda to Indeed will not be published on Indeed. This is out of Tanda's control, and you'll need to contact Indeed.

  • Your job or application form might not follow the Indeed PII policy (Personally Identifiable Information). Ensure you do not request unnecessary personal details during the initial application.

It can be valuable to contact your Indeed account manager or Indeed’s support every few months to review your job standards and account activity.

How do I contact Indeed?

As they only assist employers directly, if you have an Indeed account, the best way to contact Indeed would be via your dedicated representative. Alternatively, you can use their support form or log in to your Indeed account and click "Need Help?" at the top of the page.

For visibility requests, use the following template:

“I am a client of Tanda, an Integrated ATS with Indeed, and my jobs are included in their comprehensive XML feed. I would like Tanda to be my primary posting source. I need a CS rep to review my jobs to determine if they are suitable for organic visibility per Indeed’s Quality Standards.”
