Time Clock: Feature Management

Disable Time Clock Camera, Setting Up Kiosk Mode & more.

Updated over 3 years ago

This article details how to:

  1. Disable the Time Clock Camera

  2. Enable leave requests to be submitted on the Time Clock

  3. Make Tanda the default application on your Time Clock Tablet using 'kiosk mode'

The feature management menu is accessible to Admins under Settings menu on the Time Clock App:

Disabling the Time Clock camera

Disabling the device Time Clock will prevent a timesheet photo from being taken

The camera will be enabled/disabled when employees go back to the Time Clock.

If you run into any problems toggling the camera on/off, please contact us through the blue chat bubble or via support@tanda.co.

Enter Leave

Turning on 'leave' on the Time Clock allows employees to submit a leave request on the Time Clock.

Note: to avoid queuing at the Time Clock the preferred method to enter leave is using the Tanda Mobile App

Enable Kiosk Mode

Kiosk mode is used to make Tanda the default application on your tablet. The process is different for Android and Apple iOS tablets:

Apple iOS users

For iOS devices, 'Guided Access' should be used. Guided Access can be turned on from the Settings app.

See https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202612 for steps on how to use 'Guided Access' to make the Tanda Time Clock your default application.

Android users

Note: this section applies to Android Devices only. For Apple devices, follows the 'Guided Access' processes above.

'Kiosk Mode' is where the Time Clock application is mapped to the Home Button of your device. Pressing on the Home Button will therefore open the Tanda Time Clock.

Once Kiosk mode is turned on in the Tanda Time Clock app, you will be prompted to confirm the app as your default launcher:

Disable Kiosk Mode

Similar steps as above but simply:

1. Toggle the Kiosk Mode to an off state and tap Save
