Managed Template Improvements
Improvements have been made to the Storage Services and Wholesale Award Managed Template to incorporate new automation. Please see below for further details:
New classifications for Grade 1 Storeworker and Level 1 Wholesale employees
New classifications for Grade 1 Storeworker and Level 1 Wholesale employees
New classifications have been implemented into the Storage Services and Wholesale Managed Template which automatically facilitate the incremental rate increases for the Grade 1 Storeworker and Level 1 Wholesale classifications.
Clause 15.1 sets out minimum rates for Grade 1 Storeworker and Level 1 Wholesale employees:
On commencement;
After 3 months; and
After 12 months.
Previously, separate classification tags facilitated the different rates for these classifications:
Grade 1 Storeworker Initial
Grade 1 Storeworker 3 Months
Grade 1 Storeworker 12 Months
Level 1 Wholesale Initial
Level 1 Wholesale 3 Months
Level 1 Wholesale 12 Months
This meant that Grade 1 Storeworker and Level 1 Wholesale employees needed to be manually reclassified at three and twelve months of engagement.
For example, an employee would start on the Grade 1 Storeworker Intial classification, then at three months they would be reclassified to Grade 1 Storeworker 3 Months and reclassified again at twelve months to Grade 1 Storeworker 12 Months.
The incremental rate increases for these classifications have now been automated in the Storage Services and Wholesale Managed Template.
Moving forward, employees will only need to be classified once at the beginning of their employment and the same classification will now automatically apply the On commencement, After 3 months and After 12 months rates.
The employee's hourly rate will be determined based on the employment start date entered in the employee profile.
The new classifications that will facilitate these rates are:
Grade 1 Storeworker
Level 1 Wholesale
The following classifications will be retired from the Storage Services and Wholesale Managed Template in the coming weeks:
Grade 1 Storeworker Initial
Grade 1 Storeworker 3 Months
Grade 1 Storeworker 12 Months
Level 1 Wholesale Initial
Level 1 Wholesale 3 Months
Level 1 Wholesale
Please review any employees configured on one of the soon to be retired Grade 1 Storeworker or Level 1 Wholesale classifications and reclassify them to one of the new classifications that facilitate the automatic rate progression.
