Permission Settings for Date Effective Payroll

How to limit users' access to Date Effective Payroll

Date Effective Payroll feature allows users to add upcoming and past-dated changes in pay rates. The access to this feature can be limited to certain permission levels so that only people who are eligible have access to view and edit employees' pay conditions.

Follow the steps below to limit this access to certain users:

  1. Go to the Advanced Permission Setting page and you will be able to see all the permission levels that have been configured in your account on the left-hand side.

  2. Select the permission level that you would like to grant this access to

  3. Go to the Contract section, tick "Create", "Delete", "View", and "Edit"

  4. Go to the Employee section, tick "Edit Wages" and "See Wages"

  5. This permission level now has the full access to manage Date Effective Payroll

  6. Assign certain users to this permission level

    1. Go to staff profile page > Personal tab > Permission Levels

    2. Assign the permission level by ticking the box next to it

    3. Click Update Employee Details at the bottom of the page to save the change

  7. Now this staff has the full access to manage Date Effective Payroll

  8. Repeat the above process if you wish to grant Date Effective Payroll access to more users
