This help guide will detail how to configure and manage your notification settings in Tanda, including how to schedule notifications.
Tanda offers many options for users to configure and personalise notifications, so you can choose to be notified about as many or as few events as you'd like.
What Does This Help Guide Cover?
Managing Your Notification Settings
To configure your notification settings, first log in to Tanda using a web browser at my.tanda.co.
Then, click on the notification bell and select Notification Settings. Alternatively, hover over your profile picture in the top right corner of the page and select Notification Preferences.
You will be taken to the following page, on which you can configure your notification settings.
For each notification type, simply tick whether you want to receive push notifications, email notifications, both, or neither.
Be sure to expand the 'More Notifications' menu at the bottom of the page to set your preferences for each notification type.

Please note that the types of notifications you can configure and receive depend on your Permission level.
Scheduling Notifications
In addition to receiving real-time notifications, you can also schedule when you would like to be notified about certain events. Scheduling notifications requires Admin-level permissions.
Currently, you can schedule the following notification types:
My Qualification’s Expiring
Pay Run No STP
Pay Run Hasn’t Been Emailed
Superannuation Due
HRIS Training Log Incomplete
HRIS Training Expiry
Unsigned Contract
To begin scheduling notifications, navigate back to the Notification Preferences page as above. Then, select Scheduled Notification Preferences > + Add Scheduled Notification.
From here, you can select what type of notification you want to schedule and when you want to receive it in days, weeks, or months. You don't need to specify whether you want to be notified before or after the event—that's inferred from the notification type (e.g., you will be notified before a qualification is about to expire but after a contract has gone unsigned for a certain period.)
After clicking submit, you can choose whether to receive push notifications, email notifications, or both. You can easily edit or delete your scheduled notifications at any time using the associated icons.
You'll then receive a system notification in Tanda here at the specified time and a push/email notification, depending on your settings.
What Kinds of Notifications Can I Receive?
Tanda supports a variety of notification types to ensure you never miss an important detail, including:
Leave and Unavailability Notifications
Payroll Notifications
Personal Details Changed Notifications
Qualifications Notifications
Shift and Roster Notifications
HR Notifications
And many more. The above is a non-exhaustive list, as we're often adding new notifications and notification types. For a full list of all the notification types you can receive, please navigate to the Notification Preferences page using the directions listed above.
FAQs
My employees aren't receiving push notifications on their mobile devices. Why not?
My employees aren't receiving push notifications on their mobile devices. Why not?
To ensure employees are receiving notifications as expected, they will need to confirm that push notifications are enabled on their devices. Here’s a quick guide to help troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
Check Push Notification Settings:
Employees should go into their device settings (under “Notifications”) and verify that push notifications for the Tanda app are enabled. They’ll need to:
Allow notifications.
Ensure sound, badges, and banners are turned on if required.
Sometimes, it might be easier to delete and reinstall the app, which will then allow the user to configure those push notifications.
Ensure the Device Is Up to Date:
Employees should also confirm their device’s operating system and the Tanda app itself have been updated to the latest versions. Outdated software can sometimes interfere with notifications.
Background App Refresh/Activity:
On certain devices, like iOS or Android, apps may need background refresh/activity enabled to ensure notifications work seamlessly.
If the issue persists after following these steps, please contact support@tanda.co.
