Interpreting Cost Timelines reports in Tanda, including Costs by Pay Period, By Day, Overtime, and Leave Reports.

This help guide will explain how to interpret Tanda's Cost Timeline reports. For more general information on accessing, using, and interpreting reports in Tanda, please see our Managing Reports help guide.

Cost Timeline Reports help you see wage cost trends over time, enabling you to make more informed decisions about your staff.

To access Cost Timeline reports, navigate to Reports > Time & Attendance and look for the Cost Timelines sub-heading.


Interpreting Cost Timelines Reports

Costs by Pay Period Report

The Costs by Pay Period report shows a timeline of wage costs by pay period and employment type. The graph shows stacked or grouped wage cost data to determine trends in your different employment types. You can hover over each segment to view the total dollar figure or use the table to see the breakdown per pay period. 

Costs by Day Report

The Costs by Day report shows a timeline of wage costs per day for a pay period by employment type. The graph shows stacked or grouped daily wage cost data to determine trends in your different employment types. You can hover over each segment to view the total dollar figure or use the table to see the breakdown per payday.

Casual Costs vs Leave Taken Report

The Casual Costs vs Leave Taken report allows you to compare your costs by pay period when Leave is taken by your Salaried, Full-Time, and Part-Time staff and the additional Casual costs incurred when this happens. You can use this report to make better decisions about your Permanent to Casual staff ratio. 

Leave Accrued vs Leave Taken Report

The Leave Accrued vs Leave Taken report allows you to compare costs for your permanent staff with leave accrued and taken by pay period, including the variance. 

Overtime Percentages Report

The Overtime Percentages Report helps you view ordinary vs overtime costs as well as ordinary vs overtime hours over a particular time period.
