Completing a Form

Learn how to complete a form

Updated over 3 weeks ago

This feature is available for users on the Tanda HR plan.

Permissions

To view and action a form, ensure the View permission under HR Templates has been enabled for the necessary staff. Find this under Settings > Permissions > Show Advanced Settings > Customise access and roles here.

To learn more, see our Permissions and Customise Permissions help guides.

Access forms in the app

Once the relevant permission has been enabled, and the staff member has completed onboarding, they can access forms from their settings page in the app:

This will show any currently assigned Forms and allow you to complete or view them here.

A new form can be created by selecting the + New Form button and selecting the form you wish to fill out. The forms must first be made available via Employee Self Service to do so.

Accessing Forms on the web

To fill out forms on the desktop version, navigate to the My Forms tab under HR > Forms > My Forms.

This will bring up any forms assigned to you. If you are a manager or admin and want to see the Forms of other staff (including those that require your action), navigate instead to the All Forms tab.

To start a New Form, click the + New Form button in the top right. This will bring up forms that are available via ESS.

Complete Questions

When you create a new form, you will be prompted to complete the questions in the form. Unless marked as Optional, all questions require answers.

Once you have completed the form, click the submit button at the bottom.

You can access forms you have Started as well as forms you have Submitted from the Forms Tab in your app. You can jump back into forms with the 'Started' status, whereas submitted forms will be read-only.
