Determine what stats you measure, and configure on-costs

Updated over a year ago

Rosters can be personalized to display information the way you like. There are various filtering options that make this possible. This article will outline how to configure your roster view, choose the stats you wish to display, and use roster reports to assist in deciding how you roster.

Select from the below option:

Roster View:

Located at the top of your roster are several filtering options to customize the way you view your roster. The filters give you the ability to set a roster view period of weekly, fortnightly, 4-weekly, monthly, or customize your own.

There's also the option to group by the team, stack shift cards, hide and display information, and more. It's recommended to test options to see what you like best.

You're also able to change the order your employees are shown by clicking the following button in the top left of your roster. This order can only be changed in staff view and will not be able to be changed in daily rosters.

When reporting on a roster, there are multiple filters that can be utilized to craft a report reflective of business goals:

  • Stat: determines the key metric you would like to analyze. Options include shift count, shift costs, average hourly rate, roster hours, wage as a % of revenue, sales per labor hour, and predicted sales. The option selected determines what appears in the graph. All stats will be displayed in the table beneath the graph.

  • Time Grouping: determines the time increments along the X-axis in the graph and as rows on the table. Options include by date, week, and by day of the week. The duration of the report should be specified in the time and duration fields, located above the time grouping filter.

  • Second Grouping: permits data to be group in addition to time-based increments. Options include grouping data by employee, team, or location. 'None' can be selected in no further grouping is required.

  • Aggregate allows data to be displayed as a sum or an average.

  • The filter: enables a specific point of data to be isolated. This field could be used to report on a particular employee, as an example.

Once filtered to the desired output, data can be downloaded as a CSV by clicking the 'Download as CSV button at the bottom of the report.
