Within Timesheets you can edit, update, add, clear and delete times. Some functions can only be completed by Admin users or Managers depending on your settings. Some of these functions also can only be done once Shifts or Timesheets have been unlocked or unapproved.

Go to the relevant Shift or Timesheet by going to Timesheets > Daily or Weekly/Fortnightly:

Unlocking Timesheets

When you export your Timesheets to your Payroll system, they become locked in Tanda. You may find that after you have exported, you need to make a change. This may be due to an employee being incorrectly categorised or you needed to add in Leave or an Allowance. 

Admin, Payroll and General Manager users have access to unlock Timesheets. Team Managers will be able to status of the Timesheet but won't be able to unlock it, they will need to contact one of the levels above if they need to make a change.

Unlock All Timesheets

To unlock all Timesheets, go to Timesheets > Weekly/Fortnightly:

At the bottom, click on Unlock all Timesheets:

When you're done, you can then click Lock all approved Timesheets at the bottom to re-lock them, otherwise if you export the Timesheets again, they'll automatically lock:

You can also just unlock one Timesheet, by clicking on the employee's name and at the top click on Unlock (in the blue bar):

Unapprove Timesheet

If you need to make a change to a Timesheet, once you've checked it's unlocked, you can then unapprove it.

In Timesheets > Daily > find the relevant day and shift and at the end of the row, click on the green Approved button and it'll change to white and say Approve:

Once it's white, you can then make the changes you need to, and then click Approve again to change it back to Approved to export.

You can also do this under Timesheets > Weekly/Fortnightly by clicking on the relevant employee's name to go into their Timesheet and clicking on the green Approved button next to each shift or to unapprove the whole Timesheet, at the bottom of all the times, you'll see Unapprove all:

You can then click Approve all once you've made your changes.

Editing Time

If you need to change a time on the Shift, once you've ensured it's unlocked and unapproved, just click in the field you want to amend and type in what you want it to display. You'll know that you're clicked into the field as it will have a blue border:

Changes save automatically so you don't have to worry about approving the shift if you need to make other changes as well. 

You can also edit times on the Timesheet based on the Clocked or Rostered times, as displayed with the C: and R: below the shift. Hover over these and you will see them underline, this means you can click on it and the box above will change based on this:

In the example above, if I click on the C: 09:00, the box above will automatically populate with this time. 

Editing Breaks

You can update the total break amount, start and end times of breaks, add or remove breaks, or mark a break as Paid. 

As you can see above, the employee clocked a 29 minute break and I have manually added another 10 minute break.

Adding Missing Time

If an employee forgot to clock a shift, the field will show as red to indicate it is incomplete. To fill in the missing time simply click into the field and start typing. 

You can also click the rostered time to automatically popular that field with the time you have clicked.

Delete a Timesheet/ Shift

You can clear times in a Timesheet or delete the whole Timesheet. Just keep in mind that once this is done it cannot be reversed. Deleting Timesheets is also only visible to Admin level users, not General or Team Managers.


To clear all times on one day for an employee, in Timesheets > Daily > click the eraser icon on the right of the relevant shift row:


To clear times for one day on the employee's timesheet, in Timesheets > Weekly/Fortnightly > click the eraser icon on the right of the row:

Or to delete their whole Timesheet, scroll to the bottom of the Timesheet and just above the Timesheet Export Summary, click Delete Timesheet:
