The schedule sidebar gives you the option to view and create schedule quickly and intuitively. With a wide variety of roster views and options for filtering you have the flexibility to quickly create detailed rosters for your business.

Go to the relevant roster by either clicking on Rosters > Browse Rosters or Current Roster:

The sidebar is located to the right of the roster:

Schedule Views

The first option in the sidebar is the view switcher. Use this to switch between the different views, you can click the drop-down arrow at the end to the other options:

Schedule Views

You can build and view your roster in  different ways in Tanda - Week, Day, Staff, Shifts and Costs. Week view will show by default when you first go into Current Rosters/

To select a different view, in the left sidebar under Views, click on a different option. The other views are located in the drop down at the end of Staff:

Week View

Week view lists each shift card vertically for each day of the week. This gives you a great overview of your entire roster. In this view you can drag shift cards into any order. You can also click on the drop down arrow next to the date to sort the shifts in starting order:

Day View

Day view shows you shifts for one day at a time. This is useful if you want to make sure you have staff coverage throughout the day. You can switch between days by clicking on the relevant day at the top of the shifts.

Staff view

Staff view lists each staff member on the left in alphabetical order, with their total weekly hours and each day of the week at the top of the bar:

Shift view

First you'll want to setup how your groups are grouped. In the top right corner, click on Edit shift groups:

Tanda sets up the Morning, Afternoon, Night and Double Shifts by default. To delete them, just click Delete at the end of the row or to change the new just click on the Name field and you can edit it.

You can also create a new shift group at the bottom in the empty field:

Set your groups by specifying the times that you want to group in the columns. This works best if you have at least a Starting Before time for each group.

When you've finished go back to Current Schedule and Shift view should automatically open back up and you should see your staff split into the relevant groups.

For this example, the Shift Groups have been set as follows:

Cost view

Can be used for checking your total wage cost, breakdown per day and by employee once you have built your roster, to check for any areas you could be more efficient. You can find more information in the Costing article on this.

Locations & Teams

The section below views is the locations & teams filters. Each location set up in your account, and the teams within, will be listed as a separate set of filters.

You can filter by any combination of teams and locations by ticking the checkbox next to their names. Tanda will save your filter preferences so that when you look at the roster again later, your filters are still selected.

If you have multiple locations in your business, click the settings cog next to the locations and teams title to collapse or expand them all at once. You can also click the arrows on each location box to collapse them manually.

If you want to clear all filters and show your entire roster click Show all shifts.

Employment type filters

If your account is setup with a managed award template you will see a third set of filters in your sidebar called “employment type filters”:

As long as your staff are tagged appropriately within their individual profile (on the payroll tab), you can use the employment filters to schedule according to employment type. Tick the filter and when scheduling you will only be able to schedule staff that match that filter - for example, only casual staff.
