Staff can enter their own Leave and Unavailability requests in Tanda, either on the Employee App, the Time Clock, the Employee Portal or My Tanda. Depending on which options you want to allow staff access to, you can enable or disable.

Leave

Enabling/disabling Leave applies to staff entering Leave requests on the Employee App, the Employee Portal and My Tanda. Managers and Admins will still be able to enter Leave Requests within Tanda for staff and themselves. 

To enable or disable Leave, go to Settings > General Settings > Time Off tab:

Under the Leave heading, to disable ensure there's no tick in the box Allow employees to enter leave requests:

Alternatively, to enable, place a tick in the box and Update Settings at the bottom to save.

Unavailability

Enabling/disabling Unavailability applies to staff entering requests on the Employee App, the Unavailability Link and My Tanda. Managers and Admins will still be able to enter Unavailability within Tanda for staff and themselves. 

To enable or disable Unavailability, go to Settings > General Settings > Time Off tab:

Under the Unavailability heading, ensure there's no tick in the box Employees can use an App to enter unavailability:

Alternatively, to enable, place a tick in the box and Update Settings at the bottom to save.

When enabled, when you send out Time Clock Passcodes to staff, the Unavailability Link will be included. You can also send staff the following article on How to enter Unavailability.

Time Clock

If you want staff to be able to enter Leave and Unavailability through the other functions except the Time Clock, you can disable them on the Time Clock solely.

On the Time Clock, enter an Admin user Passcode (you can find yours under Workforce > Staff > Passcode column, the Passcode next to your name). At the bottom click Settings:

Under Feature Management, ensure Leave and Unavailability or one or the other doesn't have a tick:

This will immediately update.
