The original or Kiosk Mode of Tanda Time Clock App that runs on Android devices would lock down the tablet, so you couldn't use the Home Button to access other Apps on the device. The updated Tanda Time Clock allows you to press the Home Button so you can access easily other Apps on your device.
If you want to remove the other version of the App, you'll need to uninstall it first.
Uninstall the locked down Time Clock:
Begin by swiping from the top of the device down, to open the Notifications panel and click on the cog icon in the top right hand corner:
Under Applications, select Default Applications. Clear Tanda as the default application by pressing the ‘clear’ button:
Once Tanda is cleared as the default application, select the Home button located located under ‘set defaults’:
Select ‘TouchWiz Home’ as the new default application:
Then, select Application Manager and find Tanda in your list of applications:
Open Tanda and press Uninstall:
Install the new Time Clock App:
Click the Home Button at the bottom of the table and select the Google Play Store:
Note: You may be presented with a screen showing ‘couldn’t sign in’. Press ‘try again’ and retype password in the ‘password’ field. If you’re asked to select an account, make sure its firstname.lastname@example.org:
In the search bar at the top type in Tanda. The correct version to download is called Tanda: Employee Time Clock:
The old version is called Tanda [KIOSK MODE].
Click on the Tanda: Employee Time Clock App and click Install. When it's finished, click on the App and you'll need to link it to your account again.
Click on I have an Account and then enter your Setup Code. If you can't remember how to add the Time Clock just check out this article.
Your Time Clock is now ready to use. If you need to exit the Time Clock, just click the Home Button at the bottom of the tablet.
