When Staff or Managers enter Unavailability or Leave requests, Tanda will alert you to this on the Roster. You'll also be notified when a Public Holiday is in the current week.
Go to the relevant roster by either clicking on Rosters > Browse Rosters or Current Roster:
Days that are part of the Region you selected in your Public Holiday Settings and custom days will display on the Roster with a star to alert you to this:
If you roster an employee on a Public Holiday this will be costed correctly as per the penalty rates if you're on a Tanda Managed Award Template and Custom Rules built by Tanda. You don't need to add employees to the Roster who need to be paid for not working on a public holiday, this is configured through Leave which you can check out in the following article.
Unavailability & Leave in Week view
If you're rostering in Week view (the default view or accessed in the sidebar by clicking on Week), you'll see a red warning flag on the shift to alert you an Unavailability or Leave request.
When you click on the red warning flag, you can see more details such as whether it is Leave or Unavailability and the times and reason:

The red flag doesn't prevent you from rostering the employee and the shift being sent out to them. If you do want to keep the shift on the roster, you can either just ignore the red flag or you can delete it.
To delete Unavailability, go to Time Off > Unavailability > click on the request and Delete.
For Leave, go to Time Off > Leave > in Pending, click Decline for the employee to be notified or Delete to just remove it from the system.

Click on the Staff view in the left sidebar and you'll see Unavailability populated across the shift box:
You can click on the box to see when it applies and More details to go to the Calendar to edit:

With Leave, this will also show automatically in the shift box, and whether it is Pending or Approved:
