You can use the Pay Rate Changes report to track changes in staff base pay rates. Staff whose hourly rate of pay has changed, as they had a birthday or there is an award rate change for new Financial Year in the time period will be listed in the Pay Rate Changes report.

You can find Pay Rate Changes under Reports:

Using the Report

The Pay Rate Changes Report can be used to double check that an automated update has occurred, or you’ll need to use it to manually update the staff member’s pay rate in your payroll software.

If you use a Live version of your payroll software that Tanda interfaces with, such as MYOB Live or Xero, Tanda will automatically update the employee’s rate and send this over to your payroll software.

Change of Rate on Birthday

It is worth noting how Tanda handles a rate change on a birthday. Like the majority of payroll systems, you can only assign one base rate to an employee.

In an ideal world, staff would have their birthday on the first day of a pay period, however often birthdays will fall mid pay period. Tanda opts to pay the higher rate for the whole pay period as you wouldn't want to underpay staff.

If you want to split out the pay period though, with the two rates for the employee, you will just need to manually edit this in your payroll system.

Choosing Your Date Range

To select which time period is included in the report click the calendar drop down box directly above the employee list and select a pay period from the menu on the right, or select a custom date range from the calendars provided.

Automatically Email Report

This report is configured to automatically email to the Admin user who opened the Tanda account, therefore if you need other users such as Payroll to receive it, they can do so when they are logged in to their account by going to the Report and clicking on Email on the right, and clicking on one of the options:
